HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SHOOT

Thank you very much for booking your shoot.

Here's a guide to give you a little more detail and to let you know what to expect.

 

What happens when we arrive?……….

Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment as we may be finalising the previous session.

On arriving at the studio we’ll take a few minutes to have an informal chat about what you’d like to achieve from the shoot, we always tend to prefer informal, fun and natural poses, however if that isn't what you'd like, feel free to tell us . We’ll be happy to listen to your ideas and have a look at any examples you might have on your `pinterest`.

We always allow plenty of time for the shoot to make sure that everyone is relaxed and comfortable and doesn’t feel rushed, that way we can make sure that the photographs are fun and natural.

 

What should we wear?……….

This is entirely up to you. Needless to say, if you feel comfortable in what you are wearing then the results will always be better.  Clothing that matches tonally is very effective rather than everyone wearing exactly the same. For example bright solid colours won't necessarily sit well next to pale pastel colours.

It is worth noting that large logos and large printed `wording` on clothes tends to make the photos date morw quickly. 

If you or your children enjoy a special hobby or sport that really defines who you are, then why not bring along some kit or props associated with it? Favourite toys or teddies can be fun too.

We’ll definitely have time for at least one change of clothes if you’d like and we provide a spacious changing room with full length mirrors.

Can I bring my pet? ……….

Absolutely, we really enjoy having well-behaved pets in the studio and they often provide all the fun and distraction needed to get fabulous natural images. We’ll even take some shots of them on their own if you’d like.

 

How long will it last?……..

A portrait session typically last 30 to 45 minutes, however if it needs longer then that’s what we’ll do. We’ll make sure that you get a lovely variety of photographs with all the different groupings and individual shots that you’d like. We will always askif there's anything else you'd like to do before you leave.

What happens after the shoot ?…….

We’ll arrange for a viewing session for around 1 week after your shoot, to come back to the studio and see your fabulous photographs displayed on our screen in high definition.

We'll also give you a quick look at the products we offer and give you a price list to take away. We are certain you'll be delighted at our quality and pricing.

 

The viewing session ……..

In the comfort of our lovely viewing area, whilst enjoying a `beverage`, we’ll show your images in a slide show format. We’ll then go through a process of selection to help you choose your favourites.

If your shoot included a complementary image/print you will have the opportunity to select your favourite for that purpose.

Whilst we’d obviously be delighted if you'd were to order additional `wall art`, prints or digital images from our extensive range you will not be under any obligation to do so. We want you to recomend us to your friends and relatives AND to come back yourselves. We do this by providing high quality products at affordable prices.

And that’s it……….

We promise you that your family portrait session will be a lovely, relaxed, informal and fun experience and that we’ll find that `special something` that makes the difference between a professional portrait and a snap shot.
